One of the key industries in Cass County, from 1850 to the present day, began in 1847 when agreements were made with Chief Hole-In-The-Day and a logging camp was set up near the mouth of the Crow Wing River. Most villages in Cass County came into existence due to lumbering. Logging artifacts are supplemented with photographs of the early days.
