The Leech Lake Reservation

The Leech Lake Reservation maintains strong ties with traditions passed down from generation to generation: canoe building, maple sap harvesting, and wild ricing. One of the largest collections of Ojibwe beadwork in northern Minnesota is shown here. This beadwork collection exemplifies designs and colors used by the Chippewa at Leech Lake. An authentic birch bark canoe, stone tools, and arrowheads enhance the collection.
